CAR CARRIER Experience for more than 33 years PRONAV ship managers and brokers have been engaged in the very specialised sector of world wide automobile trade for more than 33 years. Since the early 70th they were pioneers in developing deep sea transportation of cars and followed the development from conventional LoLo Carriers to RoRo-Car Carriers and then to modern PCTCs. Development of projects PRONAV is working closely with all major operators and owners and covers every aspect of modern deep sea transportation. This includes the development of projects, consultancy and finance arranger of new buildings as well as chartering or sales and purchase. Chartering PRONAV has arranged time charters for a number of Car carriers (capacity per vessel ranging between 2.500 up to 6.100 units) to Volkswagen, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and others on a long term basis. New building The company was instrumental as consultants for 5 PCTC new buildings of 4.300 units capacity for Norwegian and German owners, which were delivered in 1999/2000 for employment on T/C basis. Contracts of Affreightment have been arranged on a long term basis for account of Volkswagen with KKK, MOL and others. These include shipments from Europe and South Africa to Far East (Taiwan, Japan), Europe to North America and Mexico, Intra South America as well as to and from Mexico to North America and Europe. In total approximately 400.000 units p.a. are carried under the respective contract.
